Additionally, wear supportive athletic shoes with cushioning and heel-stabilizing features to reduce strain on the outer edges of the foot.

High arches are either due to genetics or neurological problems. It can be managed easily through non-surgical methods, which depend on the flexibility of your feet, but sometimes surgery might be necessary if the case is severe. Common solutions include orthotic devices, customized to provide extra support, shoes like high tops that can help correct gait and relieve pain, and braces for additional support.

One common mistake is neglecting to measure your feet regularly, as size and shape can change over time due to age, weight, and gravity. You can develop foot pain if you are wearing the wrong shoes and it can be solved if you match the shoe to the activity and make sure of proper fit and support. While choosing shoes, use orthotic devices, try both shoes, and walk around according to your size; leave a space of ¼ inch between your longest toe and the front of the shoe, and make sure the heel of the shoes provides lots of support with a proper fit.

Relieve Minor Foot Pain at Home

When the foot pain is minor, then it can be easily treated at home by several methods: take breaks often to rest your feet,  massage your feet to ease the tension, use ice packs to ease pain and swelling, soak your feet in Epsom salt for 20 minutes a day, use shoe inserts and try anti-inflammatory medication.
